Show Us Where You Live Friday

After not being able to participate in Kelly's Korner Home Tours for 2 weeks I am back! This week is Kids Rooms/Nurseries so here goes..

These first 2 pictures are of my 3 year olds room. When we moved him to a big boy bed I wanted to find bedding that matched the paint so w wouldn't have to repaint (we painted this room with our first son). I found this firetruck bedding online at The Company Store.


This is the only picture I will subject you guys to of my 13 year old's room. She will probably be mortified if she sees this but I also didn't want her to feel left out if I didn't post a picture. This is how she lives most of the time, she will get in a cleaning mood once in awhile and it will stay clean for a few days.

These last 2 pictures are of my 5 year old's room. We did this room as his big boy room when we were expecting our second son. We had a friend from church come and paint it and she did a great job, we still get compliments on it.

Summer has begun....

We went swimming at Pacaw's on Sunday and the boys had a great time!

Graduation Day

Matthew graduated from PreK on Monday and I have to say I surprised myself by not crying. It was such a cute ceremony.

Matthew with his teachers, Mrs Williams (in red) and Mrs Burns-they have been great teachers and I am amazed at what Matthew has come home telling me about.


Only 2 more days of PreK left then he will officially be a Kindergartner and we got word today that our transfer to Moss Haven Elementary has been approved.

Maui in the Meadow

Since I don't get very many pictures of Alex I usually depend on others. This is a picture taken on Friday night at the last school dance of the year. Alex is the one in the middle, she is wearing the plaid dress.

Show Us Where you Live Friday-Living Rooms

Ok, so it's the second week of Show Us Where you Live Friday with Kelly's Korner. Not sure if you got a chance to look at the different kitchens posted last week but I looked at some and it was so much FUN!

Here's my living room...enjoy. Excuse the kids that just had to get in the pictures.

This is my favorite item hanging in my house. A friend from church painted this for us 3 years ago, she came over took a picture of the kids then painted from that picture. She also took molds of their feet and then adhered them to the painting so the feet are 3D-it's very cool.

This is just a picture looking at the couch area from the TV area of the room.

This is our TV area, the whole wall is a built in.

This is the bookshelf my husband built, I think this was one of his first projects in the house. There used to be a wet bar in this area, we definitely get more use out of shelves.

The Cake

Mommy was up until midnight last night decorating this cake for the littlest man in her life. I just hope he and his friends appreciate all the work...

Ryan's 3rd Birthday-Family Edition

We had Ryan's family celebration last night-he LOVED all the attention. He got lots of Spiderman stuff and lots of CARS stuff. We have his party with all his friends today at ASI Gymnastics.

My Kitchen

One of the blogs I read, Kelly's Korner, is doing a Show Us Where You Live Friday segment and today is kitchens. I wasn't going to participate but after looking at several kitchens it looked like fun. My kitchen is not glamorous at all but here you go....

This is my favorite wall in the kitchen, I've been collecting crosses for a few years now.

This is our hutch which holds ALOT of stuff (mainly junk). It has our china in it, hold my cookbooks and some other decorative pieces.

This is the view of the kitchen from the eating area, this is what I would like changed. My kitchen is just too narrow, it's hard to have more than one person in there at a time.

This is the window above my sink that looks out into the living room.

This is also one of my favorites, my NEW double oven. I've only had it a couple of weeks and I can't imagine life without a double oven.

Happy 3rd Birthday Ryan!

Today is my baby's birthday!

We have a fun filled weekend of birthday plans! Grandma Evalyn and Vanpa will arrive this afternoon then we have family coming over tonight for cake (and presents of course!). Tomorrow is his party with all his friends at ASI Gymnastics! I'll be sure and post pictures. The theme of the party is CARS and mommy is going attempt a Lightning McQueen Cake (I will let you know how that goes).
