Mommy's try at making an airplane cake, in case you don't get it the yellow cupcakes are the runway lights and the white cupcakes are smoke. Matthew loved the cake and I will be making another one for his friend party on Saturday.

We Have a Birthday in the House!!!!
Matthew is 5 years old today and he is so excited!!! This morning when he woke up he came into our room and I could hear him chanting "I am 5, I am 5" he did this over and over for a few minutes. It was very cute!!!!
In honor of his 5th birthday here are 5 things I love about my boy:
1. His sweet, sensitive side
2. His love for his brother and sister
3. His love for his friends
4. He's compassionate side
5. His love for school and learning
I will post pictures after the celebration with family tonight.

Christmas
Matthew sitting on Daddy's lap to open some presents.

Ryan sporting his new Spider Man Slippers from Grandma Debbie
The kids had a great day yesterday, got what they asked for and more. We actually had to do Round 2 of clean out the playroom (I had already cleaned it out about a month ago in preparation). We will have Round 3 of Christmas tomorrow when Aaron's parents arrive. Then on Monday Matthew will be turning 5 so a new round of gifts will be headed his way.

PreK Christmas Program
Matthew's class along with another PreK class and 2 of the 3 year old classes put on a little christmas program for us. The PreK kids got to choose to be either and angel or a shepherd and as you can see Matthew chose to be an angel. I'm not sure if he was more excited about singing or the fact that Daddy took a half day off work to come and see him sing.

Picture with Santa
The boys and I went to the mall today so they could pick out their ornament for this year. Every year I take the kids to Hallmark so they can pick out a new ornament for the tree, it's always fun to see what they'll choose. This year Ryan chose Buzz Lightyear, Matthew choose Little Einstein's Rocket and Alex got Tinkerbell.
As we were eating lunch the boys saw Santa and said they wanted to go talk to him so they could tell him what they wanted for Christmas, I was quite surprised by this since last year they wouldn't even go near him. So, after we finished eating we walked over and they both walked right up to Santa told them what they wanted and then sat on his lap for a picture. They are no wearing the clothes I would have chosen but I thought it best to let them go since they were willing. Here's the pic of them on Santa's lap.

Trick or Treat
We made our annual trip out to Frisco to go Trick or Treating in Pacaw's neighborhood. Matthew kept asking when we were going to go and when we finally started he got about 20 minutes into it and said he was done. I think Ryan could have trick or treated all night.
Here are Buzz Lightyear and Woody in front of Pacaw's house before hitting the neighborhood
