PreK
Matthew is LOVING PreK, he comes home everyday with something new he has learned. They practice writing every day, every week is a different letter so they work on writing that letter for 4 days. They do experiments all the time and I think these are Matthew's favorite. They did one last week where he came home and told me they mixed baking, some blue stuff (blue food coloring) and stinky stuff (vinegar). He's learned all about hypotheses. Next week they will focus on the letter Cc (they practice upper and lower case) and their theme will be Camping. They'll be cooking S'mores one day and they will be making backpacks out of brown paper grocery bags to take on their nature hike. Thursday is the day for the Trike-A-Thon, Matthew is very excited to get to take his tricycle to school with him.

First Day of School
Matthew had his first day of PreK on Wednesday. When he woke up that morning he said "today is a PreK day". He picked out his own clothes and couldn't wait to carry his backpack into school. He will be going to school 4 days a week from 9-2:30. By the way, he is in a class with 13 other boys and no girls, can you believe that. I hope his teachers survive the year:) Here he is in the car on the way to school.

My Girl..... The Hunter
San Antonio
Amy and I went to San Antonio August 21-23 to attend a Women's Ministry Training and then Beth Moore's Living Proof Live Event. We had a blast and got to get our picture taken with Travis Cottrell (he is a Christian singer that is the worship leader for Beth Moore's events).
We also got to attend Beth's Siesta Fiesta (this was a special get together on Saturday afternoon with ladies from around the country who read Beth's blog. It was a Q&A style event with Beth and her daughters Melissa and Amanda.
