Matthew turns 4!!!

Matthew turned 4 on the 29th-I still can't believe he is 4. He was so excited about his birthday that he would not let anyone forget to say Happy Birthday to him. When he woke up he said he wanted to wake Alex up so she could say Happy Birthday to him.
This first picture is of the Cars blanket my mom made for him, he also received a Cars pillow, watch and a Lightning McQueen car.

Dina's Project

Well it may have taken me since Thanksgiving but I finally finished painting our room this past weekend. I wanted to share my hard work with all of you.

Merry Christmas!!!

The boys had a great day yesterday although I think Ryan was a little overwhelmed, he didn't know what was going on. We think Matthew forgot it was Christmas (but still trying to figure out how a little boy could do that), he came into our room around 6:30am and was just talking and laying in bed with us and after about 10 minutes I finally asked him "Matthew, do you remember who was coming last night?", he said "SANTA!!!" very excitedly. He then could not wait to get to the living room-Ryan was still asleep so we decided to just let him be (no need in waking a sleeping baby).
You see Ryan here playing his drum from Santa-he LOVES this toy!!! (And love is an understatment.)

Matthew playing his Leapster. It makes me sad to watch him play this because to me he's too young to know how to operate it but he knows how to play it better than I do.:(

ICE

We took Alex and Matthew to the Gaylord Texan to see their ICE display. They fly in ice sculptors from China to carve these displays. They provide parkas for you to wear since it is 9 degrees in the room. I wasn't sure how Matthew was going to react to the cold air but as you can see in the pictures he had a great time.
This picture is of Matthew in front of the hotel's big fountain-he had a great time watching it go up and down.

Christmas Party with Friends

We hosted a Christmas Potluck at our house with some of our playgroup friends. The kids really enjoyed destroying our house. Everyone had a great time and it was nice to get the families together since most of the time it's just the moms and kids getting together to play.

Matthew and Ryan-Silly Boys

These boys can't get enough of the camera-everytime I pull it out they start posing and smiling. They are cute, aren't they? :)

Crying

We had a special vistior come to our house on December 14th. As you can see Ryan did not do well but I wanted a picture of him with Santa. Matthew would not even go near Santa-he was standing across the room, when Santa asked him what he wanted he looked at me and said "Mommy, you can tell him". I don't think we'll be expecting this special visitor again for a few years. Merry Christmas!!!!

State Fair of Texas

We went to the State Fair on October 13th-Matthew had a blast. He kept asking for one more ride. Maybe Ryan will be big enough for some of the rides next year. Matthew was scared of Big Tex, every time we walked by him he said he was scary.
