Beach-Day 2

Day 2 went very well-our friends The Johnson's joined us at the beach today (they are visiting family in Lake Jackson). We were at the beach for about 4 hours. No pictures of Alex and Courtney today-they were too busy swimming. Alex got stung by a jellyfish.

Beach Vacation-Day 1

We got here around 3:30 but by the time we unloaded, unpacked and Aaron made a grocery store run it was 6:30 before we got to the beach. Matthew was a little hesitant at first but then he was loving it-kept wanting to go a little further in the water. Ryan would not go anywhere near the water, he just dug in the sand. Matthew even wrote his name in the sand. I had to split the pictures into 2 posts because I can't figure out how to add more than 5 pictures at one time. Come back for more tomorrow!

SHOW US WHERE YOU LIVE FRIDAY-PLAYROOM

I'm doing my post a little early because we are hitting the road tomorrow morning for our first ever family vacation and we are going to the beach.

I chose our playroom, which is actually our dining room that we decided to make a playroom about a year ago. We realized we weren't using it as a dining room, it was the catch all room. At this time in our life the playroom suites our needs better and I'm hoping one day to make it a scrapbooking room (but that will be years from now). I hope you enjoy the pics, the boys had to get in on the action.

This paintings in this picture were done by the boys (as if you couldn't tell). The saying in the middle has come back to bite me when I say the room is a mess my 5 year old points out that that is what the sign says.

SHOW US WHERE YOU LIVE FRIDAY-BATHROOMS

This picture is of our 3rd bathroom, which as you can see is the where the dog sleeps. This bathroom only really gets used when we have overnight guests. It's off the garage and right next to the office where we have sleeper sofa which is where our guests sleep.

This is the master bathroom-I love the way it is set up. My husband and I have separate sink and closet areas and in the middle is the tub, shower, toilet area. This works for us, not sure we could ever share a bathroom. I only took a picture of my sink area.

These pictures of are of the Jack and Jill bathroom that is in between my daughter's room and one of my son's rooms. The kids bathroom, we decorated almost 7 years ago so it may be time for a change but what do you do when the bathroom is shared by a teenage girl and 2 little boys (ages 5 and 3).

Have a great weekend! Don't forget to check out more bathrooms by clicking on the button to the left.

Blogs and some other stuff....

As I was sitting here catching up on the blogs I read it occurred to me that maybe some of you don't even look at the blogs I read. There is a list of blogs on the left hand side and some of those blogs are hilarious and I hope you get to check them out sometime. A few of my favorites are "It's almost naptime" and this new one I just found "Rocks in my Dryer".

Matthew is at a camp at the Arboretum today, it's from 9-12 all week. He will be learning about bugs, frogs, butterflies and will even get to play in the water on Friday. Ryan is not old enough for most camps but next summer watch out this mommy will have some free time on her hands!

We (all 5 of us plus one of Alex's friends) leave for the beach in 11 days and I am so excited! Hoping it's very relaxing. It's all the boys talk about so Im sure the drive there will be filled a lot of "are we there yet". That's it for now.
